Policy on Indirect Cost Recovery Excluded (ICRX) ExpendituresDate issued: January 24, 2001This policy replaces “Guidelines for Identifying Categories of Expenditures Requiring Care,” dated August 31, 1992, and commonly known as the “JAFTIC document.”
The new policy:
- Discusses federal regulations and reasons for compliance.
- Defines expenditures to exclude.
- Explains how to recognize and flag these expenditures with a Class ending in “X.”
- Includes real-life examples of ICRX expenditures and how to treat them.
- Provides a one-page reference to simplify the process.
