Updating Borrower Information
A borrower must, without exception, report to Student Loan Collections if the borrower:
- withdraws, drops, or transfers from the University of Michigan;
- drops academic credits below half-time status;
- changes address, phone numbers or email addresses1;
- changes name and/or social security number;
- becomes eligible for a deferment or cancellation as described in the borrower's promissory note;
- becomes ineligible for a deferment and/or cancellation that has been granted; or
- is unable to make a scheduled payment.
1 Borrower's may update contact information via the ECSI website. The borrower will need their PIN number and the University of Michigan school code S5.
