Gross Pay

The Gross Pay area of Payroll is responsible for:

  • The gross pay of employees paid on the following frequencies:
        bi-weekly (all non-exempt staff, including temporary staff), or 
        monthly (all exempt faculty and staff).
  • Monitor overtime for non-exempt employees.
  • Calculate salary adjustments resulting from retroactive appointment changes.
  • Create payments for the salary adjustments - either in the weekly, off-cycle payroll or via a special (online) paycheck.
  • Data entry of special payments into additional pay.
  • Reconciliation of Sponsored Research-pool and U-Year appointment activity.
  • Workers Compensation payments.
  • Salary transfers for retroactive appointment funding changes.
