Qualifications for Claiming Resident Alien Status

You are considered a Resident Alien if you meet the qualifications for one of the two tests shown below for the current calendar year:

1. Lawful Permanent Residency Test (also called the "Green Card" test): If you have been given the privilege according to the immigration laws of residing permanently in the United States as an immigrant, and this status has not been revoked or abandoned, then you are a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.

The enrollment deadline for the 2009-2010 U-M Payment Plan has been extended to September 18, 2009!  Don't delay - ENROLL TODAY!

Once the student account has been paid in full for a term, Student Financial Services, upon request, will issue a Tuition Payment Certification letter to certify that the student's account has been paid in full for the term. The letter will include the following information:

• The amount of tuition paid.
• The amount of miscellaneous fees paid
• The amount of health insurance paid.
• The method(s) of payment (student payment, loan, GSA tuition waiver, etc.).

All donated capital assets must be reported and processed through the Development Office.
