Leasehold Improvements

A leasehold improvement is an improvement made to a leased building by a department that has the right to use this leasehold improvement over the term of the lease.

Forms to capitalize a construction project

In order to close a project/grant in fund 80000, 80500 and 81000 an additional form is required.

When is space renovation considered depreciable?

A construction renovation project is considered capital or depreciable when the total costs are equal to or greater than $50,000 per building. At this point the project should be in fund 80000.
